I'm almost disappointed to find so many wonderful reviews for this book...I thought I'd be the one to sing its praises, and I see I'm in a choir!
To these other voices, let me add that I gave this book's "prequel" (The Daring Book for Girls) out on a number of occasions, and I thought it was excellent.
So somebody explain how THIS book could be BETTER! Kudos to the authors. Highest recommendations!
Suitable for Girls, Boys and Adults of All Ages - Amazing Fun!
Remember when you were a kid and you watched movies where Elizabeth Taylor and Mickey Rooney "put on a show?" Or how about how Huck Finn built a river raft? It may have seemed unrealistic at the time, but it also looked like a lot of fun, right? Here's the book for you!
The Double Daring Book for Girls, inspired by The... Dangerous Book for Boys, contains all sorts of information that children of all ages and all genders should appreciate, including: "How to Make a Scarecrow,"" "How to Become President of the United States," and "How to Make a Lava Lamp." A lot of craft projects are outlined, such as calligraphy, making antique paper, making a snow globe, and quilting. It also covers stuff that you thought you would have had down as an adult, but probably don't, like "How to Say No / How to Say Yes," "Phrases and Idioms and Their Origins," and "How to Practice Anything."
The book is aimed at pre-teens and early teens, but does not talk down to its readers. The writing and diagrams are clear enough for even an adult to follow. Best of all, it uses "she" as the gender neutral noun instead of "he."
I highly recommend this book for girls, for women who used to be girls, and even for boys and men, even if they don't want to learn how to run away and join the circus.

I bought Double Daring book for a valentines gift for my daughter. She thanked me very much and ran to her room to read. I asked her what we should rate book and she replied 4 out of 5 stars for sure.

A great "Go To" book about everything!
There are plenty of nice reviews for this book already on Amazon, so there isn't alot more to say except *Buy This Book*, you wont be sorry! My 16 year old daughter very rarely has the time or inclination to read, and she loves this book! I started flipping through it and I found myself REALLY enjoying myself and learning about things I had forgot about or never knew! Its a really great book!
